Dr. Kalahasti Ramesh, Biography

Dr. Ramesh has over 25 years of diverse research, teaching, science management leadership endeavors. He has gained experience and expertise in developing multi-disciplinary research and overseeing programs through his involvement and partnerships with numerous educational institutions including public schools, national laboratories and industries in India, Japan, UK and the U.S.

Dr. Ramesh was born and raised in India and educated in India, U.K., Japan and the United States. He obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology as a Japan Government Fellow. He also has a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instructions from Carthage College in Wisconsin. He is a recipient of Max Planck Fellowship, Germany. Dr Ramesh worked as a senior scientist for the U.S. National Laboratories, Battelle Pacific Northwest National Laboratories and high technology industries in the U.S. and Japan. He has published more than 70 papers on topics that include Materials' science, high temperature chemistry, optics, mathematical modeling, and education. Dr. Ramesh served as a reviewer for scientific programs funded by National Research Council, National Science Foundation and U.S. Department of Energy Basic Energy sciences and Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) initiative.He has given invited lectures at MIT, Tokyo University, IIT Madras, India, and the U.S. Library of Congress

Dr. Ramesh worked directly with Mother Teresa in Calcutta between 1979-1980. He has held discussions with Jiddu Krishnamurthi  on Love and Beauty in Benaras, India. He is listed in Who’s Who in America.

Dr. Ramesh is now teaching at South Mecklenburg High School. His subjects include Mathematics and Physics from 9-12 including Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate mathematics, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and physics. He enjoys encouraging youth and the larger community in the practical application of Emotional Intelligence.

His skills are in demand by US businesses who apply his experience in Emotional Intelligence, Service Organizations, Industrial Electronics, Ceramics, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical sales support to build teams and identify business opportunities in the US and India.
