Lou Salutes Veterans

Being ‘escorted’ back to Allied side by a German, who was showing respect to American aviators inside. German saluting to American pilots.

Here, leaving the mainland, about to cross the English Channel.

Running on 2 engines, (read website, below) much of tail is gone. If you can enlarge the photo, you will see incredible damage, and front bombsight glass is gone.

My dad was a bombardier, up in the nose of one of those bombers. He crossed that channel on 18 missions.
